Crowns

Tooth restoration is a crucial aspect of maintaining optimal oral health and aesthetics. At Lonsdale Dental Practice, serving Kirkby Lonsdale, Settle, Bentham, and Lancaster, we specialize in providing top-quality tooth restoration and extraction services to ensure the longevity and beauty of your smile.

What are dental crowns?

Dental crowns are versatile dental restorations that fully cap over the portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line. Unlike fillings, which cover only a portion of a tooth, crowns provide comprehensive coverage and protection for damaged or weakened teeth.

When do you need crowns?

There are several situations in which a dentist may recommend placing a dental crown.

  • To restore a tooth to its original shape and function
  • To strengthen a weakened or compromised tooth
  • To improve the cosmetic appearance of a tooth

At Lonsdale Dental Practice, our experienced dental practitioners can assess your specific needs and recommend the best type of material for your crown. We often utilize CEREC all-ceramic restorations, a cutting-edge technology that enables us to provide same-day dental restorations without the need for impressions or temporary fillings.
